A TEENAGER riding a motorbike with his younger brother died after they were hit by a truck along the national highway in Oslob, Cebu, Monday night, August 7.
Sixteen-year-old John Philbert Balansag succumbed to injuries in the head and other parts of his body after the vehicle ran over him, police said.
Balansag's brother, Cloyd, 15, was his back rider. Cloyd suffered injuries, but he survived.
The truck driver Manuel Quijano Labis, 52, was arrested.
Investigation showed that both vehicles were traveling on the same lane of the national highway in Barangay Bonbon.
Cloyd told the police that they were hit when they attempted to overtake the truck. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
