DEFENDING champion Teleperformance (TP) eyes a three-peat when it collides with VXI Robinsons in the finals of the Davao Inter-BPO League (DIBL) set on Sunday, July 9, at the Montaña Recreation and Fitness Center in Davao City.

TP representative Lou Gracilla along with Eros Sacdalan, said they are aiming for a three-peat, citing their system will be the key to their victory.

"Kung doble yung effort namin nung semis, mas triple ang ibibigay namin ngaying finals," Gracilla said in an interview during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held at the NCCC Mall on Thursday.

TP won the semifinals over Offsourcing Philippines, 50-39, while VXI Robinsons escaped VXI SM, 53-31.

BJ Javier of VXI Robinsons, for his part, said they are hungrier for the title.

"We are more determined this time and we would want to bring the trophy home," said Javier, who was accompanied by teammate Leo Villariez.

As the DIBL Basketball tournament comes to a close, DIBL commissioner Mark de Guzman, who was accompanied by fellow commissioner L.A. Namuag announced the DIBL Volleyball tournament is already fixed on September 3 at the Davao City Recreation Center.

De Guzman said 10 teams already committed to join the Balibolista de Dabaw-sanctioned volleyfest following their initial meeting with the companies last Friday.

He also added that they are gearing up for more sporting events for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) communities including badminton and bowling.

"Our vision is to become like the prestigious BPO Classics in Manila. We already started great, next thing to do is to become consistent," said De Guzman, who sets his sight in bringing DIBL all over Mindanao.
