IT WAS a beautiful day for former VoxPop Davao reporter and now ABS-CBN news reporter Arianne "Ara" Caryl Casas last July 8, as she started a new chapter in her life with Earl Bryan "Biboy" Tumuran.
Though it was sunny day, family, friends, and workmates, in their beautiful silver and light gray formal wear, came to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Davao City to witness the becoming of one of Biboy and Ara.
Biboy, despite having a ball of emotions, walked down the aisle looking sharp in his suit. Then, Ara walked down the aisle in her beautiful white wedding gown.
"Sulod sa walo ka tuig... maihap ra gyud kapila ta nag away sa relasyon nato. Ako gyud ang labad pero ikaw, wala ko nimo gihatagan og labad. Love lang (In our eight years, we can count how many times we quarreled in our relationship. Though I can be a headache in our relationship, you never gave me one. You only gave me love)," Ara said, adding that she feels truly blessed to have him as her husband.
For his part, Biboy said, "In eight years of togetherness you gave me not just happiness, excitement, confusion, and sometimes sorrow; all the emotions in a row. Thus, the best feeling I felt is your love that makes me melt. So remember the date July 8, I will marry you my soul mate."
"Karon na magminyo na ta, ang promise nako sa imo mahimo ko na masinabtunon nga asawa; ampingan nako atong mga anak; [ug] promise nga atong future family na akong priority (Now that we are married, I promise that I will be an understanding wife; take care of our children; [and] I promise that our future family will be my priority)," said Ara.
Biboy said, "Gusto nako isaad nga higugmaon ka hangtud sa kahangturan (I promise to love you now and forever)."
After the church wedding ceremony, it was all fun and getting to know the couple at the D'Leonor Hotel. Tidbits about the couple were revealed by some of their friends and family members. What those stories are, well, you have to ask the couple yourselves.
Eight years of just simply being together may seem like a long time before getting married. However, in that timeframe Biboy and Ara were able to fully get to know each other and foster their love for one another. Their love story enters a new chapter as they journey as husband and wife.
