AT LEAST 4,000 supporters of senator and presidential aspirant Miriam Defensor-Santiago are expected to join her campus visit at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) in Bacolod City this afternoon.
Santiago will speak before her supporters at the gymnasium at around 2 p.m., said Mark J Aranduque of the People’s Reform Party Youth.
A cultural presentation will be held before Santiago’s speech.
It will just be a quick meet-and-greet with her Negrense supporters and a short talk with the different volunteer support groups in Bacolod, Aranduque added.
He said that after Santiago’s visit, the final week of her campaign in the city and the province will be led by the senator’s relative from Silay City.
A day before her arrival, Santiago’s supporters joined a grand caravan organized by the People’s Reform Party/People’s Reform Coalition Western Visayas with the Youth For Miriam 2016 Negros Occidental Thursday afternoon.
About 30 vehicles traversed the city’s major streets to campaign for Santiago and her running mate, Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
They motored through Lacson Street, B.S. Aquino Drive, Lopez Jaena Street, Libertad area, and Bacolod public plaza, and went back to the Capitol area to conclude the caravan. (GYM)
