THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued on Thursday, October 19, a thunderstorm advisory over Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather bureau issued the advisory at 10 a.m. over areas in Cebu: Santander, Samboan, Oslob, Cordova, Lapu-Lapu City, Asturias, Balamban and nearby areas.
Also affected is Negros Oriental: Siaton, Zamboanguita, Dauin, Bacong, Valencia, Dumaguete City, Sibulan, and San Jose.
Pagasa said the thunderstorm may persist for one to two hours.
The thunderstorm will likely develop over Northern Mindanao and Davao Region within 12 hours.
The weather bureau said residents are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flashfloods. (VoxPop Philippines)
