COLEGIO de Sta. Ana de Victorias Titans got an unexpected reward of a Boracay escapade from their school after capturing their first ever championship title in the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association (Nopsscea) men’s basketball last month.
Co-team manager Paul Oliver Cruz said the trip is the players’ prize for the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices they made throughout the year.
“The whole team deserves it. Right after the awarding ceremony, the team traveled to Boracay to celebrate. We stayed at the Discovery Shores Boracay from November 25-28,” he said.
They were joined by some members of Sta. Ana Board of Trustees and management.
“We would also like to thank coach Troy Sarabia, who assembled the team along with my brother Paul, and coach John Imperio. Also our gratitude to RPC Petroleum Group, Pura Vida Dive Resort, Role Credit and Finance Corporation who bankrolled the team,” said Paulo Cruz, Titans co-team manager.
The Elvis Atinado-mentored Titans will also be honored today by the CSAV.
The champion team is composed of Reymart Caranoo, John Valdez, Christian Montepio, John Loyd Licawan, Joseph Yoro, Vladimir Pangantihon, John Egat, Sean Sajo, Billy Rojo, Carl Magbanua, Jeric Adorio, Junior Essakadoualla, and Jeffrey Manday.
