TOP teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are out of the Unigames men’s basketball, organizers have confirmed.
That’s good news for last year’s finalist Hercor College of Capiz which may finally make it in Dumaguete City. Hercor put up a good fight before College of St. Benilde prevail at the STI West Negros University gym in 2015.
The bad news is that the other 11 squads will be licking their lips too as the biggies or their under training teams will not be missed.
Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Colegio de Sta. Ana Victorias, Asian College of Science and Technology, Foundation University, Holy Angels University of Pampanga will be aiming for their first title.
Hoping, too are the teams from Davao – Holy Cross College, Jose Maria College, University of Mindanao, and darkhorses Rizal Technological University of Mandaluyong, University of San Agustin from Iloilo and University of San Jose-Recoletos of Cebu.
The distaff side will be a toss up for Centro Escolar University, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde Manila, Holy Angels University, Holy Cross of Davao College, RTU Mandaluyong, and USA-Iloilo.(HGD)
