Travel hacks for your next trip

Published on

FIRST long weekend down and another long weekend to go for this month and if you’re planning to travel this weekend or later this year here are some travel hacks which will make your next trip a better one.

Book and pre-pay your hotel/room accommodation before travelling

Other than the plane ticket, a place to stay is the next priority on the list when it comes to travelling. So if you can, pre-pay your hotel/room before your travel, this saves you from going out of budget and also assures you of your reservation. I found this helpful during my recent trip abroad when we booked and pre-paid our room via Airbnb because I only had to focus my actual cash budget on other travel activities.

Plot a flexible itinerary, always have a plan B

In every trip, always have a plan B. Set an alternative in case the place is full, closed or when the weather suddenly changes. Setting a flexible itinerary of places to visit and activities maximizes your travel experience.

Carry a stash of food and snacks

Even when I am not travelling I always see to it that I have some crackers in my bag so much more when travelling bringing your own stash of food and snacks not only saves you money but also makes it convenient whenever there’s no supermarket available nearby. I suggest some of the essentials like crackers, cup noodles, packed sugar, coffee/tea.

Bring power adapters and extension wire

This is another essential especially if you have a lot of gadgets or if you are sharing a room with your family/friends. Bringing your own adapters (for travelling abroad) and extension wire makes sure that you’re gadgets will never be out of juice during your trip.

Pack a foldable tote bag

Avoid the hassle of weak paper bags or buying expensive tote bags for your pasalubongs by bringing your own container for it. This will make your additional stuff easier to hand carry when travelling home.

Those are some travel hacks for your next travel! Stay safe and have fun on your next travel adventure!
