THE Tricycle Adjudication Board (TAB) has strongly warned erring tricycle drivers of a new ordinance increasing the penalties for overcharging and refusal to convey passengers.
Arturo Cabidog Jr., administrative officer of the City Legal Office, explained that the TAB is currently embarking on a massive information campaign on the ordinance, which was approved by the City Council last June 29.
Cabidog said the ordinance provides for the increase in penalties from the previous P1,000 to P4,000 for the first offense; P5,000 for the second offense; and P5,000 with revocation of driver’s license for the third offense.
He said full implementation of these penalties will start a month after the measure was approved. (VoxPop Philippines)
