A TUGBOAT of the Zamboanga Pilot Harbor Association sank after it bumped a foreign cargo vessel in Sta. Cruz Strait, Zamboanga City on Wednesday morning.

Zamboanga Coastguard Station Commander Alvin Dagalea said the incident happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, just 500 meters off the shore of R.T. Lim Boulevard, locally as known as “Cawa-Cawa” Boulevard.

Dagalea said the tugboat sank after its starboard bow hit the anchor of the foreign cargo vessel while navigating at Sta. Cruz Strait.

No one was hurt in the incident.
