THE local police have taken safekeeping custody of an undocumented American national found wandering in a west coast village of Zamboanga City.
The police identified the American national as Jason Scott Nicolas, 41, from Utah, United States of America.
The police said that personnel from the Police Station 10 found Nicolas walking along the highway in the village of Patalon around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The police said Nicolas does not have any pertinent papers for identification except for his birth certificate.
Nicolas claimed to be residing in the village of Tetuan but turned out to be false when taken to the area for further verification, the police said.
The police added that Nicolas was turned over to Police Station 11 for safekeeping. (Bong Garcia/VoxPop Philippines)
