FOUR unidentified armed men fired at a private vehicle parked near a residential village along Lacson Street in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Thursday evening.
Senior Inspector Larry Teovisio, head of Police Station 3, said police responded to a call for assistance from a concerned citizen regarding a shooting incident at about 9:10 p.m.
Initial investigation showed the assailants on board a Mitsubishi Pajero without plate number fired at a Toyota Innova without plate number.
When police arrived, the vehicles involved were no longer around.
Teovisio said they have yet to determine if the persons on board the Toyota Innova were injured, and they are monitoring the hospitals for possible report.
“We have no identities yet of the victims and assailants,” Teovisio said.
He added that an agent of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was present when the incident happened, and alleged that the assailants fired at him.
Teovisio said they are waiting for the NBI agent to return to the police station for questioning.
Police recovered at the crime scene seven fired cartridges of M16, a live ammunition of 7.62 caliber, and 14 bullets of .9mm.
