Utzurrum: Radisson Blu turns pink and other colors

Published on

FOR the whole month of October, Radisson Blu hotels all over the globe (that’s nearly 300 hotels in 69 countries!) will simultaneously mark the “Love Blu, Be Pink” campaign to fund early detection of breast cancer.

One room in each participating hotel will turn “pink” with a portion of the proceeds earmarked for this worthy cause. In Cebu: “We are proud to support the ICanServe Foundation Inc.,” announced hotel general manager Laurent Boisdron.

Under this campaign, a luxurious business class room will metamorphose into a pink enclave with accessories like towels, pillows and artwork by Qube Gallery, which will adorn the walls. The treat also includes buffet breakfast for two and all the exclusive privileges of the Business Class lounge.

Elsewhere in the hotel, drop by the Feria Dessert station for a pink “experience” featuring delicious pink fondue, macaroons, champagne mousee etc. Or at the Dilmah T-Bar at the lobby, be part of the pink signature afternoon high tea and savor items like beetroot brioche sandwich with smoked salmon or chicken, quiche lorraine, watermelon yoghurt mousse, paired with cups of premium Dilmah tea. Sip pink-hued blends like rosehips and hibiscus iced tea, merry pinky, candy cosmo, etc. all at P300 per glass net.

All proceeds will likewise go to the cause.

After being drenched in the color pink, Radisson also featured other vibrant hues during its Set in Motion art exhibit, during its promo “Everyday is a Party at Radisson Blu.”

The hotel as a “Party Place” focused on the lobby bar as a destination for glam cocktail parties, intimate get-togethers, afternoon tea soirees etc. For openers, the exhibit Set in Motion featured Chinese/Cebuano Abstract artist Jewelle Marie Yeung and fellow abstractionist Sio Montera.

Jewelle’s works—exhibited in Cebu for the first time—impressed the art patrons, with stunning hues like eggyolk yellow and fiery vermilion. Sio’s all-new masterpieces mesmerized the crowd that evening.

Let’s have more such events, Radisson!
