FORMER beauty queen Venus Raj and YouTube star Bretman Rock will host the red carpet pre-pageant festivities of the 65th Miss Universe.
The announcement has been made by the Miss Universe organization through their official website.
Raj is nothing new to the pageant scene.
The 28-year-old television host and model won Binibining Pilipinas in 2010 and represented the country at the Miss Universe pageant during that same year.
She placed fourth runner-up to Ximena Navarrete of Mexico.
Bretman Rock, on his part, is a big hit in the online world.
The 18-year-old Filipino-Hawaiian YouTube star and makeup enthusiast has over 10 million followers across all his social media platforms.
He is best known for his outlandish and hilarious online person, as well as his makeup tutorials.
Bretman Rock recently came to the Philippines for his first makeup master class held last December 2016 in Manila.
Meanwhile, Emmy Award winning TV personality, actor and comedian Steve Harvey is returning to the pageant stage as the main host of the Miss Universe competition.
American plus-size model Ashley Graham on the other hand will have backstage past in the competition.
The 65th Miss Universe pageant is happening on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. (VoxPop Philippines)
