MABALACAT CITY -- The Vice-Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) Pampanga Chapter has expressed support to the anti-drug campaign of President Duterte and Governor Lilia Pineda.
The VMLP Pampanga echoed its support to the President and the governor during the election of a new set of officers at the Mabalacat City Hall on Friday, September 2.
Mabalacat City Vice Mayor Christian Halili, newly-elected president of the VMLP Pampanga, said that he and the other incoming officers are planning to conduct drug test among their members.
“We support the program of our President and our beloved governor to eradicate illegal drugs. In line with this, we will submit ourselves to a drug test to assure them that the vice mayors in Pampanga are not using illegal drugs and we are not drug protectors,” Halili said.
Angeles City Vice Mayor Bryan Nepomuceno, incoming vice president of the league, for his part, expressed optimism that the VMLP Pampanga will implement program for the benefit of their members and their respective constituents.
The other newly elected VMLP Pampanga executive officers include Floridablanca Vice Mayor Michael Galang, secretary; Arayat Vice Mayor Ramon Changcoco, treasurer; Magalang Vice Mayor Norman Lacson, auditor; and Guagua Vice Mayor Sajid Khan Eusoof, public relations officer.
Members of the board of directors are Minalin Vice Mayor Edgardo Yambao, Bacolor Vice Mayor Eduardo Datu, Candaba Vice Mayor Michael Sagum, Santo Tomas Vice Mayor Gloria Ronquillo, and Macabebe Vice-Mayor Vince Edward Flores.
