ANOTHER weekend of competitive football awaits hundreds of aspiring booters and enthusiasts during the Victorias Kadalag-an Football Festival on March 17 at the Don Bosco Technical Institute football grounds in Victorias City.
The event organized by the 2007-2008 Parents Football Team is bankrolled by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and Councilor Member Abelardo Bantug III in cooperation with Don Bosco-Victorias and coach Reymando Baldava.
The one-day event is also part of the city's 20th Kadalag-an festival.
Kadalag-an festival is an annual celebration to commemorate Victorias City’s charter day celebration. It is held every 21st day of March.
Featured categories are the Under (U)-11 boys, U13 boys, U15 boys and girls, U17 boys, U19 boys, and the Men and Women's Open.
Don Bosco is known to be one of the seedbeds of top caliber footballers in the province and the country.
For decades, the school has contributed several names in the national men's team and national futsal team.
Last week, Don Bosco has proven themselves as strongest teams in last week's 5th Sinigayan 7-A-side Football Festival by winning the Mix 10 and U16 boys divisions at the Sagay City National High School football field. (HGD)
