A VILLAGE watchman was stabbed to death by a militiaman as a drinking bout gone awry in a remote village of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported on Tuesday, October 24.
The Zamboanga del Norte police identified the victim as Dominador Gumera, Jr., 37, who was rushed but failed to reached alive in the hospital.
The police said that Gumera was allegedly stabbed by Pamil Imbanga, 37, a member of the militia force. The suspect fled and remain at large.
The police said the incident happened around 9:50 p.m., last Sunday, October 22, in the village of Bacong, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.
The police said that Gumera and Imbanga engaged in a fist fight following a heating altercation while on a drinking bout at a community store.
The police said the suspect suddenly pulled a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim when their companions pacified them. (VoxPop Philippines)
