FUTURE Filipino tankers are expected to take the Sta. Fe Resort pool during the 3rd Don Generoso Villanueva Sr. Age Group Swimming Invitational on October 7-8 in Bacolod City.
Cris Banal, tournament coordinator, said the event is open to all swimmers regardless of affiliation.
Differently-abled swimmers are also allowed to participate in the tournament provided they inform the organizers.
Categories to be contested for Level D Novice 1 include ages 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 while for the Advance/Competitive Level are ages 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 15-17, 18-34 and 35-up (Masters).
Banal said that to ensure the smooth conduct of events and for the organizers to verify the entries, clubs are to submit entries before October 1.
“This is extremely important as we have observed that failure to comply often brings impact on the quality of tournament management,” he said.
Philippine Swimming Inc. and Fina age group rule will govern the meet.
