DAVAO City bet Peter Campos Villocino finished 22nd in men's 25 to 29 division of the Ironman Taiwan Sunday, October 2.

He clocked a total of 13 hours, 30 minutes and one second to end up 243rd in the overall ranking.

Villocino said the course was tough, saying, "Times 2 ang kalisod kaysa sa Cebu. Grabe ang route sa bike and run tapos sobra kainit (The route was more difficult than the Cobra Ironman in Cebu. The bike and run routes were very challenging and the heat made it tougher for me)."

He timed 1:09:39 in the swim event, 6:05:30 in bike and 6:03:31 in run.

He also said he's satisfied with his performance, adding in a Facebook interview, "This is my first full Ironman race. Gi-enjoy nalangnakoang race para lang dyud mahuman (I enjoyed the race just so I could just finish)."

Villocino got a finisher's medal.

In the 2016 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship last month in Cebu City, he placed second in men's 25 to 29 category. (MLSA)
