WATCH: Senate hearing on revival of death penalty

THE Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights began Tuesday, February 7, its first hearing on the proposed revival of the death penalty in the Philippines.


Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Department of Interior and Local Government representatives, Bureau of Jail and Management and Penelogy, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency were invited as resource persons to the deliberations.

Also invited are non-government organizations such as Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. (VoxPop Philippines)
