THE Davao City Water District (DCWD) advised the public of three separate sets of water service interruption affecting some parts in Davao City.

First set is on April 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. affecting portions of Barangay 76-A particularly San Pedro Extension, Nograles Avenue, Sanasa, Cabacan, Kasilak, Bilusa, Busna, Sto Niño, Savina, Manggahan, Saint John, Felcris Centrale, Almendras Gym, and immediate environs.

This water service interruption will give way to the tapping of the newly installed 4-inch diameter Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipeline to the existing 4-inch diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Purok 12-B, Tahimik Street Dapsa in Barangay 76-A, Bucana.

Once completed, said project will allow for accommodation of additional service connections.

Second set is also on April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Areas with no water are these Tacunan areas: Puroks 1 to 9, Tierra Nueva, Bagong Pag-asa Homeowners Association, Sta. Cecilia Homes, and Sitio Biatilisan and these Catalunan Grande areas: Santiago Villas Subdivision, Alejandra National Homeowners Association, San Miguel Homeowners Association, Sitio Sto. Niño Ilihan, Sitio San Pedro, and South Point Homes.

The DCWD crew will tap the newly installed 150mm diameter PVC pipeline to the existing 150mm diameter PVC pipeline for the mainline improvement at Purok 2 in Barangay Tacunan to Sitio San Pedro in Catalunan Grande to help increase water pressure in Tacunan.

The third set is from 9 a.m. of April 7 until 11 p.m. of April 10 affecting DCWD’s Cabantian Water Supply System (WSS). This will give way to the rehabilitation works of Cabantian Production Well no. 1 in line with the continuing efforts to improve water supply in Cabantian WSS.

The rehabilitation work and the ongoing rotating water supply schedule in Cabantian WSS will cause no water in these areas in Cabantian: Deca Homes, Chula Vista Subdivision, Emily Homes, Holy Trinity Village, Countryville Executive Homes, Dela Peña Street, Bacahoa Village, Remedios Heights, Emilia Homes, Cecilia Heights, Priscilla Estates, Country Homes Subdivision, Greenland Subdivision, and Victors Executive Homes and in Communal: portion of Ciudad Esperanza, Victors Subdivision, Puroks 1, 2, 3, lower Purok 4, 5, and 6, Green Valley, Ilumina Estates, Communal Barangay Hall, Communal Elementary School, Blue Diamond Village, Aspen Heights, and Catitipan Homeowners Assn.

Other areas served by Cabantian WSS not mentioned above will follow the existing rotating water supply as scheduled.

The DCWD management asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers.

They are also advised to store enough water in clean containers whenever they can.
