“THE early booking gets the best deal!”, said the Davao Travel Agencies Association (DTAA) president, Alex Divinagracia.
“These days, travel has become an essential part of our lives as we continue to discover new places, experience various cultures, learn them, and know about the world. We are given more opportunities to travel this 2018 with the more affordable fares and tour packages that are within our reach,” he added.
The 2018 edition of the Mega Travel Sale dubbed “Let’s Travel the World” is the ninth travel show mounted by the association. The annual gathering is a venue that brings together major industry players and offers the best deals for seasoned and would-be travelers. It’s also one of the best times to snag affordable deals — airfares and accommodations — to the best local and international destinations.
DOT-Davao Regional Director Antonio Fernando Blanco, who was one of the honored guests in the affair said, “We would like you to enjoy your travels and at the same time be Ambassadors of Tourism in your own right. In your own little capacity, you can invite people to come to Davao. With your own personal recommendations, you can let your friends experience the unique culture in Davao.”

GeneRose Tecson, City Tourism Officer: Siem Reap. If you ask me, I would like to go back to Cambodia. I'm a romantic and it’s a romantic place for me so I would go to Siem Reap again.
Ravin, SilkAir’s Mindanao Manager: Mali (Maldives). Mali is getting a lot of attention these days. It's a beautiful place to visit and SilkAir can take the Davao travelers there via Singapore.
Susabel Reta, traveler: Lucerne. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place.
Gene Bangayan, traveler: Osaka. The people are so nice, the place is beautiful and there’s lots of good food to feast on.
Pia Montano, PAR Travel & Tours: Turkey. Turkish Airline has joined the fair for the first time this year and offering a great deal to Turkey.
Alexene Monterde, AirAsia: We have launched the first international destination from Davao to Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is an exciting city to visit plus AirAsia can connect them to many more destinations around the globe.
