BACOLOD City Councilor Dindo Ramos Wednesday said the City Government is coming up with a win-win solution to implement the deed of donation for the Tangub property donated by Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI) for the establishment of the South Terminal.
“I will sponsor an ordinance for the establishment of the South Terminal and East Terminal in Barangay Tangub provided that the Murcia Terminal shall be excluded because Mayor Evelio Leonardia wants to relocate it in Barangay Mansilingan. If we agree on that then we will start working on it,” said Ramos, chairman of the City Council’s committee on transportation.
Ramos said he has initially talked to Mayor Evelio Leonardia and the VTI representatives about the matter.
He noted that the donation of VTI for the South Terminal was already accepted by the previous administration and that it only needs certain revisions on conditions set by the VTI.
VTI had earlier threatened to cancel the deed of donation for parcels of land to be used as South and East Terminal.
Lawyer Collin Dirk Isidto, vice president for legal of Yanson Realty Development Corp. (YRDC) and Vallacar Transit, stressed in his letter to Leonardia and Ramos the inclusion and consolidation of the east terminal to the proposed south terminal as an integral condition to the revised deed of donation.
“We hope the City of Bacolod will reconsider the consolidation of the East Public Terminal with the South Terminal. Otherwise, the Board will be inclined to cancel the donation for non-compliance on the part of the City of Bacolod with the principal conditions of the deed of a donation,” the YRDC and VTI stated in the letter.
