Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson urged newly-hired employees of the provincial government to do their jobs well.
Lacson, who attended the oath-taking of the newly-hired and promoted Capitol employees at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall yesterday, said that many apply for government positions, and not all are accepted, so it is expected that those who are hired will work well.
“This is a reminder to all of them that they belong to an organization that reaps many awards. I hope their entry to this organization will also help us in our service to our fellow Negrenses,” Lacson said.
Moreover, the vice governor called on the newly-promoted Capitol employees to expect more work.
“That’s why they were promoted because they have shown diligence,” he added.
Joy Cabasac of the Provincial Human Resource and Management Office said the 192 newly-hired workers were contractual employees who were absorbed in permanent positions.
She said most of them are doctors, nurses, and utility workers for the various hospitals and medical services of the provincial government.
Earlier, Acting Provincial Administrator Leonardo Eusebio said that Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. wants to regularize all workers of the 11 Capitol-run hospitals because they have bigger responsibilities and liabilities.*
