FILIPINA young singer Elha Nympha is ready to impress everyone with her world-class talent in new season of American hit show "Little Big Shots".
Produced and hosted by Steve Harvey and co-produced by Ellen DeGeneres, the show features the world's most talented and extraordinary kids.
It showcases young musicians, singers, dancers, and every form of wunderkind around America and overseas. Aside from the performances, the kids will exchange banters with Harvey on stage.
Paranaque-born Nympha will appear on the show’s season two premiere slated on Monday, March 6, where she performed her version of "Chandelier," making Harvey exclaim "this girl can sing".
The 12-year-old said her first visit in the US last June proved to be an unforgettable one as she personally got to meet Harvey and other kids in the show.
Nympha said it was an experience of a lifetime.
"I was surprised and at the same time honored to be invited to perform in such big show. I was nervous at first but I really won’t want to let my fellow Filipinos down so I really gave my all during the performance,” Nympha said during the press conference held Friday at Privato Hotel in Manila.
Aside from the guest appearance, she got to do a little tour and bond with other kids from around the world.
"After my guest appearance we had the chance to go around. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios. I have a lot of friends from the show. May isang play group and nakapag bonding naman kaming lahat," she said.
Nympha is nothing new to showbiz limelight. Before appearing in the American program, the former banana que vendor captured the hearts of many during her stint in the second season of "The Voice Kids Philippines".
She trained under the tutelage of Coach Bamboo and won the competition.
The young singer is currently a mainstay in "Your Face Sounds Familiar," where she trends online almost every week for her on point impersonation of big local and Hollywood personalities.
Asked for her advised to aspiring young talents like her who dreams of making it big in show business, Nympha said one should have courage and dedication to chase their dreams.
"Be yourself. Achieve want you want (by) practicing. Do whatever you want. Be not afraid and be courageous to do what you want in life."
On Monday's season premiere of "Little Big Shots," Nympha will be joined by 5-year-old Lucy from Pleasanton, California who is a huge fan of Abe Lincoln and can recite the Gettysburg Address; four-year-old worship leader Caleb from Greensboro, North Carolina; and six-year-old science wiz Mason from Sherman Oaks, California.
Also wowing the viewers are six-year-old basketball phenomenon and You Tube sensation Jaliyah from New Orleans, Louisiana and four-year-old anatomy expert Brielle from Salinas, California, who impresses Harvey with her knowledge of every bone in the human body.
Season two will also feature young talents from Romania, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, England, Russia, Japan, China, Canada, USA and the Netherlands.
"Little Big Shots" season two premieres Monday, March 6 at 7 p.m. with encore telecast at 10:25 p.m. on DIVA available in channel 37 on SkyCable, channel 40 on Destiny, channel 25 on Cignal TV, and channel 32 on Cable Link. (VoxPop Philippines)
