THE Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (SAIDSOTF) of the local police arrested a policeman in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City.
Arrested was Police Officer 3 Reynan Alipalo, 44, according to Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer Rogelio Alabata.
Alabata said Alipalo was arrested in a drug bust around 10 p.m. Thursday, January 5, in the village of Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City.
The police official said Alipalo was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P700 to an undercover policeman.
Alabata said Alipalo is presently assigned with the City Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit.
The arresting team confiscated from the possession of Alipalo P700 marked money consisting of one P500 and two P100 bills, and nine heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, he added.
He said the suspect will be subjected to a drug test. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
