THE Zamboanga City Government announced on Wednesday, August 2, that it fully supports the initiative of the Department of Tourism (DOT) to re-bloom the city.
The support is in line with Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar’s promotional campaign dubbed as “I Love Zamboanga.”
DOT Regional Director Antonio Fernando Blanco announced his office’s component activity to promote the involvement of Zamboangueños for the project “Mi Ciudad: Limpio Y Floriao (My City: Clean and Blooming).”
Blanco said the project calls for residents to plant, grow, and generate pots of bougainvillea for use in re-blooming Zamboanga.
Blanco said his office will be coming out with a video to encourage compoblanos de Zamboanga to donate at least one pot of flower ougainvillea as an expression of their love for the city. (VoxPop Philippines)
