ZAMBOANGA Sibugay Governor Wilter Palma announced that P6.5 million has been allocated for the province’ athletic delegation that will compete in the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) meet this year.

Palma said the funding allocation will be used to purchase the needed equipments, uniforms, incentives, food, and transportation of the athletic delegation.

He advised the teachers to closely monitor the food preparation to avoid problems like “food poisoning.”

Angelito Aballe, sports and fitness coordinator of Zamboanga Sibugay schools division, assured the government that they will form a committee to oversee the food preparations for the athletic delegation.

The province of Zamboanga Sibugay is sending a 700-man delegation to compete in the five-day sports event that will be held from March 26 to 30 in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

The athletic delegation includes officials of the Department of Education, coaches, chaperons, and teachers. (Bong Garcia/VoxPop Philippines)
