TEHRAN — IRANIAN Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held separate phone calls with his Saudi and Egyptian counterparts on Saturday, March 22, 2025, to discuss Israel’s renewed attacks on Gaza.

In a call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Araghchi condemned the Israeli strikes and called for collective regional action. Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of the attacks and stressed the importance of regional coordination to prevent further escalation.

Araghchi also spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, condemning both the Israeli strikes and the obstruction of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which he said violates the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Abdelatty emphasized diplomatic efforts to avoid further conflict.

Both Iran and Egypt agreed to maintain consultations on developments in the region. / XINHUA
