CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Korea Technology Bank (KTB) is eyeing to build a $62-million state-of-the-art solar power plant in Lubao town that is seen to help solve the province's environmental problems.
Waste Professional Engineer Youn Ku Lee said on Monday, July 23, that KTB is willing to develop the facility, which will convert waste into solar energy.
This facility will be named "Pampanga State Waste Energy Facility Construction and Management Project."
He bared this during a courtesy call to Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda and Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab at Max's Villa del Sol on Monday, July 23.
Lee added that this will also benefit the agricultural sector, as waste can also be converted to fertilizer.
According to Lee, if the project will be approved, the KTB will be finished in 24 months.
Lee also mentioned that Worldwide Capital Group is willing to fund the project.
The said facility is also seen to generate more employment and livelihood in the province. (PR)
