AN ALCOHOL plant located in Apalit town provided relief assistance to residents of Barangay San Vicente, which was put on lockdown recently.
Far East Alcohol Corporation Pollution Control Officer Mercy Simon said the factory, led by its owner, Tony Co, distributed a total of 318 trays of eggs and ethyl alcohol to Sitio Alauli in the said barangay.
The said portion of Barangay San Vicente was reverted back to enhanced community quarantine due to the sudden spike in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.
"In support of the local government headed by Mayor Jun Tetangco's bid to protect and assist Covid-19 stricken community, we provided food and health aid to more than 300 families in Sitio Alauli which is also Feaco's home community," Simon said.
Aside from extending aid to its local community, Simon said Feaco also provided monetary assistance to its own employees.
Additional aid was also given to two employees -- an elderly payloader and his grandson -- who were infected by Covid-19.
"In this challenging time brought about by the pandemic, Feaco continue to extend a helping hand to its host community and the employees in as much as it could," Simon said.
