THE North Luzon Logistics Hub of Royal Cargo, Inc., touted as the biggest logistics hub in the country, recently opened at Plaridel Bypass in Malolos City, Bulacan.
National Economic and Development Authority Director General Ernesto Pernia led the opening of the P2-billion hub seen to make Plaridel Bypass a center of cargo movement and depot.
Michael Raeuber, Royal Cargo Group chief executive officer, said the logistics hub is located in a 6.6-hectare land and has 12,760 square meter cold chain facility, 1.7-hectare container freight station, 8,000 square meter dry house and its own water treatment facility.
Its cold storage warehouse has 14 expansive temperature-controlled rooms, two blast-freezing rooms, the biggest in the Philippines, aside from an 800 square meter food processing area and 18 loading bays, two of which are for Halal cargo.
Raeuber said that this is the first and only self-contained facility in the country with extensive cold supply chain solutions portfolio capable of meeting distribution requirements for frozen products. (PIA-Central Luzon)
