THE Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) under the leadership of Chief Superintendent Amador V. Corpus joined the Department of Interior and Local Government in the celebration of this year's National Crime Prevention Week with a theme "Mamamayan, Sama-Samang Makialam upang Krimen at Korapsyon ay Hadlangan."
The kick-off ceremony on September 3 coincided with the traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony with Rogelio Samia, assistant vice president of Land Bank of the Philippines Central Luzon as the guest of honor and speaker.
Samia expressed continuous support in intensifying government crime prevention efforts towards the attainment of a safer region.
"With the celebration of the National Crime Prevention Week, I enjoin the general public to be more aware and appreciative of the importance and value of crime prevention through their support in all undertaking of the police and other law enforcement agencies," Corpus said.
Annually, the first week of September is declared as National Crime Prevention Week with the Department of the Interior and Local Government as its lead agency. (PR)
