CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City of San Fernando's Public Employment Service Office (Peso) has been named by the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) as Central Luzon's top implementer of the Peso Employment Information System (PEIS).

During the labor department's recent Peso Year-End Performance Assessment for 2017 and 2018 Planning Exercises at Royce Hotel and Casino in Clark Freeport, the employment and service office of the City Government of San Fernando was recognized for its implementation of the PEIS in applicant's registration, employer's registration and posted vacancies under the component city.

The award was presented by the Peso staff headed by Donny Sayre to Mayor Edwin Santiago on Monday.

Santiago lauded the Peso, citing their dedication and sincere commitment in providing job opportunities and quality livelihood programs to Fernandinos.

Last September 21, 2017 the Public Employment and Service Office also received a recognition from the Civil Service Commission as Regional PAG-ASA Awardee under the group category during the 117th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. (Princess Clea Arcellaz/VoxPop Pampanga)
