THE number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga have reached 60 as more cases have been recorded in various towns and cities with at least nine people dead from the viral infection.

Reports from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed that cases in Apalit (1), Bacolor (2), Candaba (2), Floridablanca (2), Guagua (4), Lubao (5), Mabalacat City (2), Macabebe (3), Magalang (1), Mexico (2), Porac (3), San Simon (2), Santa Ana (2), Santa Rita (2), Santo Tomas (1), and Sasmuan (1).

The City of San Fernando has the highest number of cases at 16. Angeles City Government reported nine positive cases while the PHO merely reported seven cases as of April 17.

The PHO only reported 58 positive cases for Pampanga as of the April 17 advisory but if the correct number of cases from Angeles City will be counted, there are in fact, 60 confirmed cases. This is confirmed by the DOH tracker which showed 60 positive cases for Pampanga as of April 17.

Of the 60 confirmed cases, 35 have been admitted while five are in home quarantine. Some 11 positive cases have since recovered.

As for suspected cases, 21 have already died while 114 are currently admitted and another 208 suspected cases are in home quarantine. Pampanga has a total of 353 suspected Covid-19 cases.
