PATIENTS undergoing dialysis treatment from Apalit town, Pampanga will no longer go farther as the local government started constructing its own hemodialysis center in Barangay Sampaloc.

Mayor Oscar "Jun" Tetangco Jr. said construction of the dialysis center located at the government center here has already started.

Its funding comes from local funds, with the support of the provincial government and national elected officials.

Tetangco said the center will be equipped with 47 dialysis machines, medical personnel and other necessary equipment.

"Once completed, the center will provide free dialysis treatment to needy patients of Apalit as well as nearby towns," he said.

Prior to the construction of dialysis center, the local government has been providing financial and other medical assistance to Apaliteño.
