CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in Central Luzon will be adopting a four-day work week for its employees in a bid to prevent the spread of the deadly new coronavirus that causes the disease Covid-19.
DOST Regional Director Julius Caesar Sicat, in an announcement posted on the agency's Facebook page, said the move will be adopted for all employees of the agency in Central Luzon.
The regional and provincial offices will still be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
Sicat said the alternative work schedule will only be temporary and will be subject to prevailing situations or when local governments impose community quarantines.
DOST is advising the public to take note of the schedules to maximize their visits with DOST offices. The use of DOST's only platforms are also encouraged.
DOST-Central Luzon is comprised of the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.
The DOST regional office is located inside the Regional Government Center in Barangay Maimpis in the City of San Fernando.
