FLEETS of delivery vehicles from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Central Luzon transported 100 hospital beds to the Asean Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga and New Clark City (NCC) in Capas for use in the coronavirus isolation facilities in the said locations.
The DPWH Central Luzon utilized its equipment fleet coming from Pampanga 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Tarlac 1st District Engineering Offices. The beds were hauled all the way from Pasay City to Pampanga and Tarlac.
The DPWH, in report published on their Facebook page said that the hospital beds will be used at the two "We Heal as One Centers" in Clark with an initial 550-bed capacity.
"The isolation facilities at the Asean Convention Center in Clark Freeport Zone and at the National Government Administrative Center in New Clark City were converted by the DPWH, with the support of private firms EEI Corp. and the Villar Group of Companies and are ready to admit disease (Covid-19) positive patients," the DPWH said.
DPWH regional director Roseller Tolentino mobilized region's available trucks in the transport of the said vital equipment.
