February 10 a non-working holiday in Bacolor

THERE are no classes in public schools and no work in government offices in Bacolor town Monday, February 10, as the town celebrates the feast day of its patron saint San Guillermo.

The local government has declared February 10, 2020 as a special non-working holiday through Municipal Ordinance Number 2, Series of 2009. The ordinance was passed during the time of the Vice Mayor Diman Datu who currently serves as the town's mayor.

As declaration issued by the municipal government of Bacolor, classes at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Main Campus were suspended on Monday, February 10 as with other local public schools and the institutions in the town.

There is also no work today in the Municipal Government of Bacolor. Masses will be celebrated Monday at the old sunken church of San Guillermo in the town proper followed by a procession after the evening mass of the image of the patron saint. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
