FLORIDABLANCA Mayor Darwin Manalansan took oath under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, a few days before the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for all elective positions for the May 9, 2022 national and local elections.
Manalansan, who is expected to seek another term, took to social media to announce his oath taking. Lakas-CMD is the party of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Among those who reportedly joined the Lakas-CMD party, according to Manalansan's post, include incumbent vice mayor Michael L. Galang, Joeyrey P. Montemayor, Emmanuel "Kambal" D. Tolentino, Romeo "Jun" P. Lingad, Diosdado "Jojo" Vitug Jr., Mark Kevin Mendoza, Jesus "Bong" I. Nanquil, Jacob "Boyet" Fajardo and Lloyd Darren O. Manalansan.
