THE Department of Tourism Central Luzon (DOT) expressed gratitude to Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo for his relentless support to the tourism industry amidst pandemic.
DOT Regional Director Carolina Uy, during the welcoming party with officers of the Philippine Tour Operators Association (Philtoa), cited Garbo's unwavering support to the tourism industry.
"I am very thankful to the generous mayor of Mabalacat City [Garbo], for his compassion to the hotel and travel industry by helping us in DOT in this time of uncertainty especially during the repatriation," Uy said.
Uy warmly welcomed Philtoa officers headed by President Cesar Cruz, the Mabalacat City Government through its City Tourism Office, the City Information Office and the Clark Tourism Office at My Lola Nor's Meryendahan.
During the event, My Lola Nor's owner and chef Elsa Yabut also performed a cooking demo on how to make Biko Kalabasa in front of the guests.
DOT also held a familiarization tour of the group and they visited various tourist spots in Clark Freeport where the majority of its land area is within the territorial boundaries of Mabalacat City.
