A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl and five more senior citizens from Magalang town have contracted the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the local government reported on Monday, April 26.
Another minor, a nine-year-old boy from Barangay Bucanan, was reported to have acquired the virus.
The six-year-old girl is also from Barangay Bucanan.
The new patients are among the 11 new cases reported by the local health unit.
Aside from this, the Municipal Government also recorded nine new recoveries as of April 26, 2021. This brought the total number of confirmed active Covid-19 patients to 166.
The local government has recorded a total of 527 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The LGU appealed to the public to always follow the minimum health standards set by the Department of Health to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
"We are also appealing to every qualified individual to get vaccinated against the dreaded Covid-19 virus," it said.
