A KOREAN national and his girlfriend were arrested during an anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by operatives of the Mabalacat City police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency III at Samsonville Subdivision in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City on Monday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jake Lee, 36, and a resident of Barangay Balibago, Angeles City. His girlfriend was identified as Joy Ann Casuparan, 18, a resident of Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City.
Confiscated from the duo's possession were four heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with a street value of P5,000, cellphone and the P1,000 marked money.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were already filed against the arrested suspects.
