LGUs get P100,000 each for youth programs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) awarded the Certificates of Recognition to the Province of Pampanga and the 12 towns and cities in the province for achieving the "Ideal Level of Functionality" in the implementation of youth welfare program.

Among those awarded are the towns of Lubao, Floridablanca, Porac, Guagua, Mexico, San Luis, Masantol, Bacolor, Sta Rita, Arayat, Mabalacat City, and City of San Fernando.

With the help of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, each town and city also received a P100,000 cash incentive from the provincial government.

Also, capitol officials and employees under the leadership of Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda took the oath of the "Panatang Makabata" for the start of the celebration of Children's Month with the theme "Health, Mind, and Welfare of Every Child, Let's Focus."
