APALIT authorities, together with the Pampanga Provincial Mobile Force Company, recently conducted an anti-illegal drugs operation which led to seizure of almost 50 sachets of dried marijuana leaves.

Superintendent Roland Agohob, Apalit chief of police, said the buy-bust operation was launched in Barangay Capalangan here, targeting alleged notorious illegal pusher Marvin Maglalang, 25.

During the said operation, Agohob said the police operative who posed as buyer was reportedly able to buy a small sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves using marked money from Maglalang.

Agohob said the successful purchase led to the Maglalang's arrest, and seizure of three small sachets of dried marijuana leaves which are the subject of sale, and the P300 marked money used in the operation.

Upon inspection, Agohob said police officers were able to discover 43 more small sachets and a large sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves (shabu) from Maglalang's actual possession.

Maglalang is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
