PopCom-Central Luzon recognized for partnerships

THE Commission on Population (PopCom)-Central Luzon was awarded during the 50th anniversary celebration of the agency for its partnerships and sustainable efforts to meet population programs.

PopCom received a plaque of appreciation for the most outstanding performance in ensuring the sustainability for the Philippine Population Management Program through inter-agency collaboration.

The region has the highest number of institutions oriented and partnered with on Population Development strategies for the last three years (2016-2019).

The celebration highlights the continuing challenges, opportunities and milestones of the commission in improving the quality of lives of the Filipino people throughout the years. It also showcases the growing support from various partners as well as other development initiatives.

PopCom-Central Luzon continues to work for the improvement of the quality of life of every Filipino with its core functions in policy formulation and planning development, program advocacy and communication, data information and management, as well as resource mobilization.

PopCom was created through the enactment of various legislations such as Republic Act 6365, known as the Population Act of the Philippines further amended by Presidential Decrees 79 and 166.
