PORAC -- Mayor Condralito dela Cruz said that his last months in office will be marked by continued service and the realization of pipeline programs that may be followed through by the next administration.
Dela Cruz said that he hopes to see through the release of the dental bus for this town from the Department of Health. The dental bus will enable the municipal government to bring much needed dental services to barangays here.
He added that he will look into the completion of assistance for municipal scholars as well as the start of major road projects from the national and local levels.
"It will be a few months now before my term ends. I still have a lot of programs set. But just to start them and let the next administration take care of the rest will already be an accomplishment," Dela Cruz said.
Dela Cruz had been urged by several sectors here to seek a different political position in the May polls. But the veteran politician said that he is set on semi-retirement.
"I can always help people even without public office," Dela Cruz said.
He added that while it would be his personal wish, and that of his wife that he should retire from politics, different sectors have been urging him to help the town in a different capacity.
Dela Cruz served as municipal councilor and later as vice-mayor before he ran as municipal mayor. He will end his third consecutive term as mayor in June.
