THE portion of Pampanga River in Candaba town has started to overflow following the continuous rains brought by consecutive typhoons.
As of Monday morning, November 2, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reported that water level of Pampanga River in the area was already at 5.12 meters, which is little over from its critical level of 5 meters.
With this, flooding in the area was still experienced, with some barangays submerged in up to six feet of floodwaters.
Barangay San Agustin was the most affected area as seven of its puroks were submerged in up to six feet of flood, making all its major roads not passable to all types of vehicles.
The San Miguel-Candaba (Dukma) road, which is one of the busiest thoroughfares in town, was still submerged in up to two feet of floodwaters but was already passable to all types of vehicles.
Meanwhile, nearly 50 families were also evacuated over the weekend as part of the preemptive measures implemented against Typhoon Rolly.
