PRO-Central Visayas joins 24th PCR kick-off ceremony

CAMP OLIVAS -- The Police Regional Office 3 joined the Philippine National Police in the celebration of the 24th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month with this year's theme, "Sambayan, Mahalagang Kaakibat ng Kapulisan sa Pagtaguyod ng Mapayapa at Maunlad na Bayan."

The 24th PCR Month celebration which coincided with the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony was held at the PRO3 Parade Grounds here with Maj. Gen. Lenard Agustin, Commander, 7ID, Philippine Army.

The kick-off ceremony was highlighted by the presentation of awards and recognition to deserving commissioned and non-commissioned PNP personnel and winners of the recently concluded PRO3 Palaro ng Lahi.

The month-long celebration will include different activities that will highlight the importance of a solid partnership between the police and the community in the effective maintenance of peace and order and community development.

Annually, the month of July is declared as Police Community Relations Month with the National Police Commission as its lead agency.
