THE tandem of mayoral candidate Gloria "Nina" Ronquillo and vice mayor aspirant Jhong Naguit hosted a medical mission for Santo Tomas residents on Friday, November 30 at the San Matias Elementary School Covered Court.
The mission featured doctors who provided free consultations and medicines to people who availed of free medical services. Dozens of residents flocked to the said event while some went home with free medicines and vitamins.
According to Ronquillo, the medical mission aims to bring much needed medical services to local residents, particularly indigents who are in need of medical attention.
Naguit, for his part, said that the event is a prelude to the kind of services that their team will bring to the people of the town. He said that their tandem is focusing on health, education, and livelihood for the people of Santo Tomas.
The two are leading an alternative line-up in the coming 2019 political race in the town.
Ronquillo added that his team is composed of Mark Arceo, Angel David, Engelbert Euperio, Fidel Calma, Meriam Bonete Garcia, Josefina Pangilanan, Melanio Nuqui, and Danilo Anicete.
Ronquillo said she will be focusing on programs for women, social services, and more scholarship programs for the people of Santo Tomas.
Meanwhile, Naguit said that he will be advancing legislative work in the town council that will empower all sectors of the town. He added that his legislative agenda will compliment that of Ronquillo's to further move the town forward in terms of programs and developments.
